| At our summer training at Camp Buckner, after plebe year, John. Barry Williams, and I were assigned to the 6th company. When our company won the physical fitness test contest, our reward was a trip to New York City to see the Yankees play the Boston Red Sox. After the game, John, Barry, and I went looking for a place to eat. Here we are in our dress whites, two A-1 flankers walking on either side of a B-2 runt. We received quite a few stares, but one gentleman gave me a very puzzled look. I pointed at my two classmates and said, "They are my body guards." |
