At the Academy I was in awe of Sir Bruce?s brilliance. He was also gracious, very good humored, and a true gentleman in every sense. After many years, and until along came the internet, I had no further contact with Bruce. But when we started communicating the last few years on international matters I was again awe struck with not only his acute insight and analysis, but his absolute mastery of the English language, very finely tuned. On top of these too rare facets, Sir Bruce, as I call him, was a gentleman through and through. Wherever he is now, on his next adventure, there is no doubt he will again become a true leader of the highest caliber. It was all my honor to have known him. |
