Charlie and I never crossed paths during our years in the Air Force, until we served together in the Pentagon. He was a great help to me as I learned the ropes and coordinated the hundreds of cases passing through the Secretary's Office of Legislative Liaison. We both retired and stayed in the area for a number of years and that was the time that we made up for the lost years. Charlie and Sandra seemed to be at many of the Washington soirees and we always managed some time to catch up. Class luncheons and other events during those years were also a place to pass the time with a friend. I enjoyed these days a lot. Our prayers and deep sympathy are with Sandra and his family. As time goes by for all of us, I find it harder to accept the losses. Rest in peace old friend. We'll meet again. John
