I mourn the loss of Alex Pensiero, one of our PC support group's own (PC) Badgers who gave of himself in so many ways not only to his community, but as a founding member of the group and a Badger as well, dedicated to assisting our newly diagnosed classmates in dealing with the always difficult treatment selection process, and his fellow Badgers with post treatment issues, even as his own PSA began rising five years following his prostatectomy. The latter in no way deterred him in his efforts to help others nor in his ability to enjoy and appreciate the life given him. It wasn't until Jill and I had the pleasure of participating in several classmate trips together with Alex and Lois that I really got to know him well and appreciate what a fine, caring person he was. I will always value his friendship and the opportunity to have known him. Our hearts go out to Lois and family as they struggle through this great loss to all of us.
