At 75 years old, I have just discovered entries about dad and I wish to add my comments. Daddy was a "hero"--but we, my two sisters and I, did not know about his amazing past. He was our dad; never talked about his war experiences. I learned a lot from Daddy; he taught by the way he lived his life. Above all else, Dad was consistently honest. He was a truly good person. He was kind and fair. He loved our country and was devoted to that whether in the service or, later, in civilian life. Love, respect, admiration to our dear Daddy. |
