Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Marilyn Katzmark on November 1, 2011:

As the office manager at the Basilica these are the memories I have of Stan: Stan lived out the last years of his life here as an active, dedicated parishioner of Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano. His outreach to the poor in our Food Pantry was to be of service to all. He was here every week helping in Serra's Pantry, right up until he passed. He was seen on most weekends from the Ambo in the Basilica as a faithful and dedicated lector. Stan was humble and never bragging about his past life of service, which of course was magnificent, when asked he might share a little but never bragged about the honors he had received. Stan was also a faithful believer in stewardship and offertory, he never failed to honor these commitments to his parish. We will miss his forward and truthful ways.
