Be Thou At Peace

My dad taught me so much -- how to persevere, live well, be honest and serve my country. He was fond of the expression "When an old man dies, a library burns down." It is true in this case, as he was my "go to" library for almost any subject. Before the internet existed, my dad was "Google search" for me. More than anything else, he taught me what it was like to have a wonderful father. Since he lived so long, he outlived many of his classmates, many of whom he eulogized here. So with not many peers left to grieve his passing, I will do so publicly with deep love. Until we meet again, daddy. Snoopy |
