THURMAN, LT. GEN JOHN R., USA (RET.) On May 29, 2004, LT. GEN. JOHN R. THURMAN died at Walter Reed Medical Center. Brother of the late General Maxwell Reid Thurman. Services will be held at Ft. Myer Old Chapel, Arlington, VA on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 8:45 a.m. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Museum of the U.S. Army, (NMUSA), 2425 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201. Arrangements by JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, INC.
