Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Miguel Hernandez on March 29, 2010:

I never met LTC/Dr.Granville Hough but his articles on Spain's contibutions to American Independence inspired me to look deeper into this subject which has been virtually ignored or misrepresented in American histories of the Revolutionary War. Subsequently I decided go for a master's degree in military history, which I will finish later this year. Thanks to his passion for subject I have learned much about a hidden and important chapter of history of the American Revolutionary War and perhaps like him, I will be able to pass that history on to future generations. Tonight I will raise a glass of fine Spanish wine in his memory and thank him for confirming that that my Spanish-speaking ancestors helped to create America. Viva EspaƱa! Viva Los Estados Unidos de America! and Viva la Memoria de Granville Hough!
