The day we heard about Uncle Pete's death is my earliest memory. I was not quite three years old, but I remember the terrible grief of my father at losing his youngest brother. Everyone knew that Pete was the favorite in the family and just a truly outstanding young man. My father, Pete's brother, died not too long after Pete, so I never met my cousins, Pete's children. I would like very much to connect with them if they read this. |
