Be Thou At Peace

| Col. Hobson was commander of the 1-87th Infantry in the 8th Infantry Division when I was a very young Lieutenant. I was serving in my first Army unit and it was a most stressful and action packed. This officer was great with young officers. His leader development skills were just superb. He is the single most influential figure in my decision to continue to serve. He taught us leader skills you can only learn during the execution of training and while carrying out your daily activities with soldiers. He also taught us how to have fun and how to enjoy life. We visited him through the years and stayed in contact until is lapse in health. We will miss him, Rest In Peace Col. Hobson. |
