Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Anthony (Whitey) Krusky on May 17, 2003:

I served under Capt. Benjamin Williams in Korea with the 936th FA Bn. as an enlisted man. As our S3, he treated everyone like a father. He was a great teacher who taught me so much during my stay in Korea. His prowess in math was without peer and he was a master with a slide rule. I can still recall the sad day he left the 936th on emergency leave during the illness of his son. I believe he lived in Pottstown, Pa. at that time. His last message to me was "you better be good and I'll see you in New York some time". (My hometown was Yonkers, NY)That was the last time I had any contact with him but he left a tremendous impression on me and I will always remember him.
