Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Karin Hoskins on September 28, 2008:

Lynn Wood Hoskins was my granddad. He had a great personality, and he always found a way to make me smile, much like my own dad. I remember one day in particular, my dad (Lynn Hoskins III) and our family went to Arizona to visit our Grandparents; I was two years old. We were all outside playing in the pool, except for me. I had to stay in the kiddie pool. I would get out of my pool and try to sneak into the inground pool. My mom and dad would tell me to go back to my pool. Well one time I was walking to the pool I stepped on a rock, and I began to cry. Next thing I knew a tall man came up behind me and leans over me and I look up at him, it was granddad. He asked "what's wrong Karin?" I continued to cry with my finger in my mouth, but that eventually stopped and I began to smile. I loved my granddad and I miss him. I am proud to say I am a "Hoskins."
