I am a University of Maine graduate, class of 1956. I am also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. During my two years in the fraternity, CAPT Chabot was our chapter faculty advisor. In his position, I remember him as a personable and friendly man who made sure we fraternity boys stayed in line. I also remember how he used to regale us with stories of his football days at the Academy, and especially how proud he was of the fact that he had once scored a touchdown in an Army-Navy game. I'll never forget "Rabbit". Ironically, after graduating from the University of Maine, I went into the Navy and became a Naval Aviator and am a retired Lieutenant Commander. I never dreamed back then that I would someday outrank him.
