Lt. Col. Kenneth Hall Roper passed to eternal life with his Lord in Heaven on October 1, 2012.

He was born Nov. 7, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, the older son of Samuel Gloger Roper and Josephyne Hall Roper. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Agnes Brown Roper and his brother, Richard Samuel Roper.

He was educated at Case Technical High School, Michigan College of Mining & Technology, the US Military Academy at West Point, and the University of Michigan.

He was married on February 4, 1956 to Mary Agnes Brown.

He is survived by four daughters, Jeanne, Eileen, Mary Jo, and Rachel, by his sons-in-law Robert and David, and by his grandchildren Brian, David, Hannah, Kenny, Daniel, and Liam.

With master's degrees in aeronautical engineering and instrumentation engineering, he served the Air Force as a technical and engineering officer for 28 years before retirement in 1977 at Kelly AFB.

A memorial service will be held on October 5, 2012 at 6:30 PM in The Army Residence Community Chapel, 7400 Crestway, San Antonio 78239, reception following.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Kenneth Roper may be sent to Crestview Baptist Church, 8101 Eaglecrest Blvd , San Antonio TX , 78239 or Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, 311 Probandt, San Antonio, TX 78204.
