Edward Brinkley Howard, COL, USA (Ret.), 91, was born in Washington, DC to the late Edith Naomi and Edward William Howard. He graduated from Dunbar High School in Washington, DC and was the 13th African American to graduate from the US Military Academy, West Point. He retired after 30 years of service in the US Army.

He is survived by his only daughter, Edith Howard Bostic; son-in-law, James E. Bostic, Jr.; other relatives and many friends. McGuire Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
