TUT and I were roommaates plebe year. As a pair of former enlisted men we kept a low profile and had a fairly easy year. My best memory of TUT is of the quiet study times we had when TUT was smoking his pipe - It would gurgle quietly as moisture built up in it- Suddenly a "slurp" was heard as TUT drew a slug of tobacco juice and nearly choked on it. TUT was an amazing and devoted friend, a top-notch soldier, and a wonderful, forgiving human being. REST WELL, Friend. |
