If this is the John McArdle I knew, he graduated from San Bernardino (Calif.) High School in June of 1944. He was one of three; Mic, Mac, and Mel, that were pals during many years going through the school system of San Bernardino. John, Mic, was Roman Catholic. Russell McCrackin, Mac, was Episcopalian. Melvin Spears, Mel, was Jewish. If you saw one of the trio alone on the HS campus, it was likely the other two were together. On graduation from HS, Mic was headed to West Point, Mac to Electrical Engineering, and Mel to Law. Mic was one of the best of friends I ever had. I wish I had seen more of him in later years. Mac |
