Robert Thomas O'Brien
August 24, 1926 -July 14, 2018

Colonel (Ret) Robert T.O'Brien, age 91, of Tucson, AZ, entered into eternalrest the evening of July 14, 2018.

Robertwas born August 24, 1926 in Medford, MA to the late George and Emma Reynolds O'Brien.

Robert was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, a graduate of West Point Military Academy and Stanford University, and a career Army Veteran who served hiscountry admirably in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

In addition to being a career Army Officer, Robert enjoyed stamp collecting, raising and showing dogs, hunting, picture framing, and golf.

Robert is survived by three daughters, Catherine and husband Colonel (Ret)Joseph Hanratty of Sanibel, FL, Christine James of Hugo, MN,Joanne and husband James Goodman of Seaville, NJ; two sons, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) RobertJr. and his wife Debra Baker O'Brien, of Moncks Corner, SC, JohnO'Brien of Tucson, AZ, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robertwas predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Henrietta "Hank" C. Rueppel O'Brien. Also preceded in death by his step-mother Hazel Upton Brien, brother, George and his wife Estelle Tiernan O'Brien, Robert's second wife of 5 years Sharon Day Liby O'Brien, and his daughter-in-lawKaren Barr O'Brien.

A Graveside Service will be held in West Point Cemetery, West Point, NY at 1000 hours on August 3, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Robert.
