Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Terry Powers on November 6, 2022:

A classmate of my father Terence A Powers.
Lest We Forget is a phrase I have come to embrace.

First Lieutenant Barnes was the pilot of a F-84E Thunderjet fighter with the 522nd Fighter-Escort Squadron, 27th Fighter-Escort Wing. On April 22, 1951, while on a combat mission near Kumwha, Korea, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire, and he bailed out safely. He was taken Prisoner of War and died as a prisoner on June 20, 1951. His remains were not recovered.

I am locating the gravesites of these and others who have served our nation.
You can visit the linked sites below and maybe leave a virtual flower in his memory.
