General Hartinger, I was best friends with your son, Jimmer, when we lived in Bren Mar Park in Alexandria, Virginia, and played on the Cardinals Little League baseball team. You were the league's commissioner, and the best one they've ever had. I was sorry to learn of your passing. You left an incredible mark on people's lives and a lasting memory as an American hero. I was fortunate to know you in the early 60s as a youngster. May God keep you close and enjoy your company! Best to Jimmer, Mike, and Kristin. It's been a long, long, time. Hope all is well with you.
