I was proud...no...privileged to serve under BG Williamson on my first assignment as an Army officer. His quiet strength belied a love of duty and country I have yet to see surpassed. Although saddled with a corps of young officers, none over the rank of CPT, (and that a brand new one, he welded his "Boy Scout Troop" into an effecient and effective Cavalry Squadron. Personally , he taught me life lessons I have never forgotten..plan, execute, don't look back! RIP, loved leader. |
