Military graaveside service for Carl Franklin Arantz Jr., 76, of Milledgeville, GA, formerly of Decatur, will be Feiday at 3 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., with Metropolitan Funeral Service of Alexandria, Va., directing.

Moores Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Col. Franklin (Arantz) died Monday, Dec 10, 2001, at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. He was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Decatur to Carl Franklin Arantz Sr. and Elizabeth Furst Arantz. He retired from the United States Air Force.

Survivors include one daughte, Terri Capelle of Columbia, Md.; one sister, Elizabeth Eltz of Birmingham; and two grandchildren.
