[From The Daily Commercial, Leesburg, FL, December 27, 2001.] Retired Army Lt. Col. Ross L. Johnson, 77, of Eustis died on Monday, December 24, 2001. Born in Lime Center, Wisconsin, he moved to Central Florida in 1995. A 1949 graduate of the Military Academy at West Point, he served in the Korean War and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He received the Silver Star and Bronze Star for outstanding bravery under fire, and for his wounds he received the Purple Heart with two clusters. Survivors include his wife, April C. Johnson of Eustis and his son, Robert Johnson of Davie, FL. Hamlin and Hibish Funeral Directors, Eustis. |
