IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Col. (Ret) John T Wallace (Jack)
OCTOBER 2, 1929 - APRIL 17, 2013

Col. (Ret) John T. Wallace (Jack) has slipped the surly bonds of earth and joined his two wives, Helen Ann McCarthy and Patricia Ann O'Keefe Shea this day April 17th 2013.

He passed on among friends and family after a six month battle with congestive heart failure.
His first wife, Helen passed on February, 3 2001.
His second wife, Patricia preceded him by only six months and poor Jack expired from a broken heart.

Born in Schenectady, NY, and a graduate of West Point class of 1949, Jack went on to become a Fighter Pilot in the United States Air Force. On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Flight at Kitty Hawk, he led the flight of F-86s in the flyby. While in the Air Force he attained a Master of Science of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Washington and went on to help develop spy satellites and rockets that paved the way for manned space flight.

After retiring from the Air Force, Jack moved his family to Wilton, Connecticut where he settled down as a project engineer for Universal Oil Products and then Loral Avionics Systems.

Once his daughter Ann and son Jack were through college, Jack and Helen began searching for a place to retire, when Helen was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
After ushering her through a ten year battle, Jack found himself alone. He decided to take a golf vacation and meet some old friends. He was at a friend's house for dinner when a knock at the door revealed his girlfriend from his West Point days, Patricia. They didn't waste time and after only a few days rushed home to tell their children they were getting married. For ten wonderful years they resided in Brooksville FL while summering in Galway, NY.

Jack was in love with being in love and was lucky to find it twice.

He is survived by his two children, Ann Wallace and Jack Wallace, two grandchildren, Joe Khan and Helen Wallace and three step daughters, Terez Shea Donohue, Lisa Shea Edelstein and Kenna Shea Schultz.
