Carl Raymond Crites PLACE OF BIRTH: Missouri Carl Crites graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1949.
Distinguished Flying Cross AWARDED FOR ACTIONS DURING Korean War Service: Air Force GENERAL ORDERS: United States Military Academy Register of Graduates
CITATION: (Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Carl Raymond Crites, United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with the 17th Bombardment Group, in action against the enemy in Korea in 1952. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
