USMA Class of 1949. Killed in the crash of a T-33A jet trainer near Atolia, CA, Edwards AFB. Born in Pittsburg, PA Feb May 10, 1926. In WWII enlisted at age 17, 30 June 1943 to 8 June 1945. Married Claire Daschbach on 8 June, 1949 at West Point, N. Y. in the Holy Trinity Chapel Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with 20 combat missions in the Korean War. Outstanding graduate of Class 56-D of the USAF Experimental Flight Test Pilot School Edwards AFB and was assigned there as an Stability and Control Instructor. He was survived by his mother and father, wife, 4 children, Christine, Suzanne, Robert, and John.
