GEORGE DUDLEY GRAHAM OBITUARY
George Dudley Graham of Gainesville died at home on March 10, 2011.
Born in Florida in 1926, Mr. Graham attended Clemson University and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He was preceded in death by Margaret, his wife of 61 years.

While serving in the US Air Force, Graham flew with the Army Air Corps and MATS in the early 1950s. As a pilot, he flew many transport missions around the globe.

Following this, Graham made a living in the cement business, engaging in over 30 years of construction projects, including the US interstate highway system. He retired from Missouri Portland Cement Company and LaFarge in 1992.

The Grahams left St. Louis and moved to Gainesville where George contributed his skills and time to various community organizations, foremost the First Presbyterian Church.

He also provided formation leadership as president of the Brenau University Leisure and Learning Institute (BULLI).

A memorial service for Mr. Graham will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Sarah Cochran Fund at the Presbyterian Church, 800 S. Enota, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Arrangements by SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers in Alpharetta.
