| Among the many gifts my father gave me was an enormous respect for and love of our country. We are so blessed to be citizens of the United States of America. I am incredibly proud to be the daughter of this soldier who served our country bravely and with honor for 20 years. My father was the son of a career military officer (Col. James Emerson Bush) and the brother of two other West Point graduates (George and James). And, he was father to all of us (John, Barbara, Nancy, Tom, Brett and me)and husband to Christine Bush. His life was a gift to us and to his country. His guidance will be sorely missed in our daily lives but his spirit will be in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Dad - we love you. |
