Be Thou At Peace

| We walked through the East Sallyport at West Point together on 6/2/45, were roommates or "next doors" for years 2,3,4, entered pilot training together, then went separate career paths but never lost contact. For 35 years we enjoyed the occasional visits and class reunions, and finally were lucky to have Jim & Audrey move to Destin where we could almost be "roommates" again. Our recent few years together were a wonderful experience which we will always treasure. Jim never lost his position as my "Best Friend". So, it is with a heavy and saddened heart that I have to say, "So long and farewell till we meet again ......" |
