Carroll Stickney Meek PLACE OF BIRTH: Arkansas Carroll Meek graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1949. He retired as a U.S. Army Colonel.

CITATION: (Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918 (amended by an act of July 25, 1963), takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Lieutenant Colonel (Field Artillery) Carroll Stickney Meek, United States Army, for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force while serving with the 7th and 34th Artillery Regiments, in action against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
