William Harry Hoffmann

West Point, 1949

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Susan Lee Hindman on December 9, 2008:

COL William Harry Hoffmann, USA, Retired, was my Dad's friend at West Point and was in the same graduating Class of 1949! They were by no coincidence right across the page from each other in their yearbook, the Howitzer. My Dad is now in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and he got saved quite late in life. He is LTC Edward Roy Hindman, Sr., USA, Retired. COL Hoffmann was the gentleman who drove my Dad to West Point in his own vehicle for their 50th Class Reunion in May of 1999. Dad was having difficulty walking and used a walker then. I believe that COL Hoffmann also pushed around Dad at West Point for the activities of this Reunion. What a good man he was and he will be remembered well! God bless you all for the good deeds of brotherly love you show to each other! Believe in Jesus Christ as your loving Lord and Saviour! See John 3:16 and John 14:6 and Romans 10:9-10 in your Holy Bible.
The Long Gray Line marches on in my heart and mind always!
God bless you all!

With Christian love in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Miss Susan Lee Hindman
