William Green, a graduate of West Point USMA, class of 1949 and an Air Force fighter pilot, died in an forced landing accident while flying an F-84F jet fighter from Turner AFB, Albany, GA while assigned to the 307th Strategic Fighter Sq, 31st Strategic Fighter Wg, Turner AFB.

He married his wife Margaret Claire Harrison Green of Lexington, GA in 1953.
He was survived by his wife, parents and a sister, and one son, Bill.

Margaret Claire Harrison Green of Edison, GA passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
Capt. and Mrs. Green had one son, Bill, who was eight months old at the time of the crash.
She was survived by
her son and his wife,
Bill and Lynn (Ganus) Green of Sugar Hill, GA,
and her three grandsons and their wives,
Buck and Ashley (Peek) Green of Roswell, GA,
Jake and Erin (McAllister) Green of Dacula, GA and
Matt Green of Sugar Hill, GA.
