My Daddy of the Class of 1949. Terence Andrew Powers It is nice to add a note in his memory. The Old Gray Line has a meaning and provides a sense of permanence. Of the 574 grads of '49 well over 500 are no longer with us, my father outlasted many, passing away in late 2019. He lived a long and happy life and always had a smile and a kind heart. His first wife and my mother Jeannette Rouse passed away a few years after they retired to Savannah, GA. He remarried and had a long time together with Carolyn Walston, who is still living. A soldier at heart, Duty, Honor, Country did not need to be spoken, he embodied those words. Sorely missed, part of a generation the likes of which we won't see again. |
