John R. Boag, Jr., 75, of Winter Haven died Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven. He was a native of Atlanta, Ga. who came to the area 30 years ago from Little Rock, Ark. He graduated from West Point in 1949. He was a retired engineer with the U.S. Air Force. He belonged to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winter Haven. He is survived by his long time companion, Mary Jane Edmund of Winter Haven , a daughter, Frances Stapor of Winter Haven, a sister Natalie Schmetter of Angelica, N.Y. and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2001 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale. www.theledger.com/story/news/2001/05/09/john-r-boag-jr/8050152007/ |
