Albert Farrant Turner
Born 18 Mar 1926 Honolulu, Hawaii
Died 19 Mar 2017 Honolulu, Hawaii
Buried at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery
Kaneohe, Hawaii

At age 91, entered his eternal home on March 19, 2017 at Arcadia in Honolulu.

Bert attended Punahou School, graduated from the US Military Academy in 1949,and served in the Army for 22 years. He retired from his military career as a full Colonel in 1971 followed by careers at Chaney-Brooks Inc., and James Greig Associates.

Bert was an active volunteer serving as moderator and trustee chair at Central Union Church, on the board or chair of USO Hawaii, the Army Museum, Armed Forces YMCA, and Club 100. He was a member of the Honolulu Rotary Club.

Bert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Laurita "Vonnie" Pratt Turner, three sons Farrant (Joyce), Jot (Marietta), and David (Kirsten), six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held March 31st 10AM at Arcadia Retirement residence.
