John Stebbins Andrus, age 81, formerly of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, passed away in Culpeper, Virginia April 27, 2008.
Mr. Andrus was born to Burton Curtis Andrus and Katherine Stebbins Andrus, in Fort Riley, Kansas January 18, 1927 and served his country for 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel.
Surviving Mr. Andrus is his wife, Jane B. Andrus of Culpeper, Virginia; his children, Priscilla A. Hinchey of Culpeper, Virginia, Marcella A. Lewis of Wheaton, Illinois and Drucilla A. Haugh of Waco, Texas; his sister, Katherine A. Williams of Stuart, Florida and fourteen grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church, Sneads Ferry, North Carolina May 10, 2008 at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
The family has entrusted arrangements to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
