David Endicott Bolte

West Point, 1949

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Clyde W. Howard III on December 7, 2015:

I met Colonel Bolte when he (then a major) was assigned as one of the Assistant professors of Military Science at Texas A&M while I was a cadet in the Class of 1965. A thoroughly professional officer and a good instructor. I admired and respected him and he is one of the few of my ROTC instructors I still, after 50 years, still recall by name and example.

Had not realized he had passed away until I had call to check his class date at West Point, and am saddened. A fine man, a fine officer, a good example.
