JOHN HASTINGS OBITUARY
LTC, (ret.), John H. Hastings Passed away on 4/3/10.

Born 9/12/25 in Yonkers, NY, he was drafted into the army in 1944.

He served as a rifleman before entering West Point USMA and graduating in 1949.

He served as a rifle platoon leader in the Korean War and was a POW of the communist Chinese for 2 1/2 yrs.

He married in 1956 to Frances R. Heinen & retired from the army in 1970 and resided in Menlo Park, CA.

He's survived by his son Dr. John H. Hastings and daughter Melanie H. Light and 3 grand children, John V. Hastings, Anastasia V. Hastings and Allison R. Light.

He will be buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA on 4/28/10.
