Edmund Harwood Cave, 85, died on April 27th, 2011.

He attended high school at The Manlius Military School in Syracuse NY and then attended the United States Military Academy in West Point NY from 1945 to 1949.

He attended Cornell and Fordham University where he earned his MBA.

Edmund married Suedell Carpenter (deceased in 2006) in 1953 and they raised a daughter, Cheryl (deceased in 1975), and son, Richard.

Edmund served as a military officer and was a decorated Korean War veteran that included the Silver Medal, Bronze Medal, and Philippine Legion of Honor Medal.

After retiring as a Major from the Army, Edmund pursued a career in IT computer sales.
He and his family resided in Atlanta GA for 30 years. In 1996, Ed and his wife relocated to Longwood Florida to be closer to family.

Ed is survived by his son Richard and family (wife Julie and two daughters) and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winter Park.

Services will be held at the Sunrise Chapel in Arlington Memorial Park, Saturday May 14th at 10am.
Donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park in lieu of flowers.

EDMUND HARWOOD CAVE, 85, of Longwood, FL.
He attended the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY and Cornell and Fordham Universities where he earned his MBA. Edmund married Suedell Carpenter in 1953.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War retiring as a Major and he received the Silver Medal, Bronze Medal and Philippine Legion of Honor Medal.
Edmund lived in Atlanta for 30 years where he pursued a career in IT computer sales.
He was predeceased by his wife, Suedell Carpenter Cave in 2006 (married 1953) and his daughter, Cheryl in 1975. Surviving is son, Richard (Julie) and 2 granddaughters.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winter Park. A memorial service will be held at Village on the Green in Longwood, FL on April 30, 2011.

Suedell Carpenter Cave, 75, passed away at Longwood, Florida on June 15, 2006. She died of a heart attack.
Suedell was born in Salyersville, Kentucky to the parents of Albert and Prudie Carpenter on August 25, 1930.
She attended the following colleges: Transylvania College, Lexington, KY; Mary Baldwin, Staunton, VA; and the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority at Transylvania College and the University of Kentucky.
She married Edmund H. Cave on February 21, 1953. They had two children, Richard and Cheryl.
Suedell and family travelled at several stations with the Army to include Ft. Benning, Ga, Hawaii, and New York City. After her husband retired from the Army, she and family resided in Atlanta for over 30 years. Suedell was active in the University of Kentucky Alumni Association in the Atlanta Chapter. She also attended many Tri-Delta functions. She was very active in contract bridge and won several trophies. Suedell is survived by her husband, Edmund Cave, Longwood, FL, her son, Richard Cave and family, Winter Park, FL.
In lieu of flowers please contribute to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
A graveside service will be held approximately July 10, 2006 at Arlington Memorial Park, Atlanta, Georgia in the Cave plot beside her daughter, Cheryl.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, East Altamonte Chapel, Altamonte Springs, FL and H.M. Patterson (Oglethorpe) Funeral Home, Atlanta, GA.
