MAJ US ARMY; KOREA, VIETNAM. Thomas H. Burt (Major USArmy, Ret) died at home. Tom was raised in Columbus, GA, graduated from Columbus High and went on to graduate from West Point. After retirement from the U.S. Army, Tom taught at Florida Air Academy and Brevard County Schools. Surviving are his children, Thomas R.H. (Candace) Burt and Dorothy Anne Burt. He was preceded in death by son, James Harden Burt. A Memorial Service will be held November 4, 2010 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on November 3, 2010 |
