On several occasions at our biennial Regimental Reunions, I had the privilege of listening to "Blackie" Bolduc, a nickname that he encouraged all to use. Even as a retired Major General, he was still and always close to his men, and the reciprocated love was obvious and gratifying to see. His presence at our Reunions also encouraged other 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry Veterans to attend, and to experience the joy and healing that these Reunions offer. "Blackie" Bolduc will always be remembered, and his name will be added to The Honor Roll that will be called at our next Regimental Reunion, April 2018. We'll meet again, Blackie, at the Fiddler's Green. May you find rest and peace in the Mighty Arms of Our Lord. Brice H.
