I knew COL Herbert, & Faith, as an Army Soccer player from '64-'67. He was the Varsity team OR. & one of the smartest, most personable, & dedicated officer�s I ever met. His insights on Army Soccer, & all Army sports teams, was phenomenal. Several years ago I attended a NY Historical Society lecture event on the Army- Notre Dame football rivalry. The moderator was Regis Philbin & the panel included Pete Dawkins & Morris. The star of the event was Morris who noted fascinating fact after fact on details of the rivalry. Regis was incredulous but we all knew the intellectual capacity of the man of the moment- Morris. Rest In Peace...you will be missed... |
