I first met Pete Beczkiewicz when I was on the staff Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, Fairfax County in 1975. I was making the morning coffee when there was a tap on my shoulder. I turned, and the gentleman asked if my husband was Tom Harrold. He identified himself as Pete Beczkiewicz, a classmate and an instructor in chemistry at the school. After I replied in the affirmative, we chatted as he helped make the coffee. From that point on I had an assistant coffee maker. We conversed about the new school and life in the civilian world.
