Frank, Jughead Foster and I were an odd assembly as roommates for 3 years at West Point. We were able to tolerate one another reasonably well in spite of my immaturity. Jughead had been in the navy as a seaman during the war, and we both looked to him for guidance in many a sticky situation. Frank's calm demeanor and acceptance of the system was inspirational to me and was a great help in keeping me from making any stupid moves. So thanks Frank. I owe you more than you know. May God spirit you to Heaven and save a space for me. Your friend always, Gus |
