I MET DICK IN JANUARY OF 2004 AT THE WEST POINT FOUNDERS MEETING IN MYRTLE BEACH.HE IMMEDIATELY IMPRESSED ME WITH HIS LOV AND KNOWLEDGE OF WEST POINT,AN INSTITUTION MY SON WAS SOON TO ENTER IN JUNE OF 2004.HE HAD A PASSION FOR WEST POINT AND TOOK EXTREME INTEREST IN MY FAMILY AND SON.I MET HIM ONCE AGAIN ON FRIDAY BEFORE R DAY 2OOO4 AT HIS BOOTH OUTSIDE THE GATES OF WEST POINT.KNOWING OUR EMOTIONS ,HE IMMEDATELY CAME TO US AND EXPLAINED THERE WOULD BE TEARS INITIALLY BUT SMILES AND PRIDE WOULD FOLLOW DURING HIS WEST POINT CAREER.HE WAS RIGHT AND I WONT FORGET HIS ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE HIS FEELINGS.TO ME ,DICK BREAKIRON REPRESENTS WHAT WEST POINT IS:DUTY,HONOR,COUNTRY.
