"Big G, this is Waldo." Normal telephone greeting from Walter B. Russell, Jr. I miss already those hour long discussions where I could barely hear and you had difficulty talking. Your memory about places and happenings always astounded me. You were always interested in Classmates, where they were located, what they have been doing, and, in some cases, not doing. Never heard one time during course of many personal and telephone calls a word of complaint. Not even an "I wish." A true soldier who gritted his teeth and conducted his personal battle with health issues every day. A truly outstanding soldier. |
