Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Larry and Marge McLenagan on September 27, 2004:

Frank and I were fellow officers in 1954 and 1955 while we were both in the 47th AAA Bn (AWSP)., 5th Infantry Division. The 47th was stationed in Will Kaserne on the outskirts of Munich, Germany. My wife, Marge, and Frank's wife, Joan, were great friends. Frank was a very enthusiastic officer and competitor as we were in different batteries. In the 1960's Frank and Joan came to visit us at our home in Richmond, Virginia. We toured a number of Cival War battlefields in the Richmond area. He had studied these battles while a student at West Point.

We lost track of each other as the years went by. After I retired I made periodic attempts to contact Frank and Joan. We are saddened to learn of Frank's early death. He was a good officer, husband and father.

If any member of his family reads this, we would very much like to contact Joan.
