Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Pamela Dierdorff Sparks on August 7, 2012:

H. Beecher Dierdorff was my Father. He died when I was three years old. I wished that I could have actually known him, but through stories I feel I do (did). My sister, Peggy Dierdorff Waterworth had a family get together a week ago Sunday and my Brother Paul R Dierdorff and his family were there too. We ended up breaking out the 8MM films from Mom and Dad's wedding forward...must have been mid 50's through 1964...post Daddy. I must say it was amazing to see him as a person...not just a figure in my memory. What a handsome hero...he died saving the life of a pregnant woman giving birth...he saved 2 lives during the blizzard of 1966.

My Mother passed away 8 years ago, (she is so very missed) and we buried her on my Father's birthday...April 23rd. Happy Birthday to Dad!!!

I look forward to the day when I head up there and get to hang out a little with my Father...until then....

your loving daughter,
Pammy
