Dear General: Thank you, Sir, for your scholarship, service, and courage throughout an illustrious career. Thank you, too, for your assurance that my son will return from his deployment to Iraq. I was hoping you'd be around to see it. His tour is now forty percent complete. I'll be thinking of you when he next comes through my door. May you rest in peace. |
